Check Out Daisy Ridley, The new Star Wars leading lady’s style

If you don’t know her name yet, you’re about to—Daisy Ridley, who plays the mysterious heroine Rey in the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise, is poised for a full-blown Hollywood takeover. Last night at the film’s L.A. premiere, she debuted an ethereal custom-made white Chloé gown, smiling like a seasoned pro at the legions of paparazzi lining the red carpet as she floated by in layers of tiered tulle.

This is no doubt the 23-year-old Brit’s biggest role to date, but you’d never know it from the way she carries herself. In 2010 she graduated from performing arts school, and after accruing only a few years of novice experience, was cast by J.J. Abrams as one of the lead roles in The Force Awakens—similar to the manner in which relatively unknown actors Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill were cast in the original Star Wars almost 40 years ago.

Appearing at various events in recent weeks wearing Chanel and Mary Katrantzou, Ridley knows how to pull off the designer set with aplomb, but she’s also enlisted the help of renowned stylist Petra Flannery, whose A-list clientele also includes Emma Stone and Zoe Saldana.
